While I always loved libraries (and special thanks to my grade school librarian Mrs. Weinburger), my first library job was at the Newberry Library during college while I worked on my senior thesis – what a fabulous place to begin!<\/p>\n
I earned my Masters degree in Information and Library Studies from the University of Michigan (focused on technology, research and management).<\/p>\n
Then I worked in university libraries for several years. I was also quite involved with the American Library Association during this time.<\/p>\n
Next, I tried the corporate world where I worked for a library vendor and then another job publishing medical information.<\/p>\n
Following that, I started helping small businesses with their websites.<\/p>\n
After several years, I found I missed librarianship. I worked at Anoka Technical College for several years. Now I work in the PALS office serving the MnPALS consortium.<\/p>\n
