A team did a big study of Twitter data and found that not only do lies spread faster, but also deeper. In addition, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.journalism.org\/2017\/09\/07\/news-use-across-social-media-platforms-2017\/\">Pew reports that 2\/3 of US adults get news from social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Being able to think critically about what we hear and read and being able to research to find the truth is more important than ever.\u00a0Let&#8217;s keep discussing and teaching about this important topic. Helpful resources follow . . .<\/p>\n<p>We created a fake news display for National Library Week (April 8-14).
